THE 16 MERCIFUL PRECEPTS Take refuge in Buddha Take refuge in Dharma Take refuge in Sangha Do no harm Cultivate goodness Purify the mind does not kill does not take what is not given does not misuse sexuality does not lie does not intoxicate does not speak of the faults of others does not praise self over others is not possessive of anything does not disparage the 3 treasures
This precept is closely linked to greed & aversion; underlying the whole mess is a misunderstanding and mis use of change; everyone knows life changes but everyone misuses that understanding to go for the gusto. More to follow.
